Eleven years at Holy Cross School have created thousands of memories that have shaped me into the person I am today. Through my participation in helping our Primary students with homework, I now realize how much I have impacted them with those short interactions. These interactions are living proof of a brotherhood that spans generations and hopefully serves as a reminder to all who have made an indelible, permanent mark on someone at this school. It doesn’t matter how small or insignificant you thought an interaction was; you have changed someone’s life simply by being a part of this Holy Cross brotherhood. 

Reflecting on what Holy Cross School has taught my fellow brothers and me, the word that stands out prominently is resilience. We learned the importance of being resilient. Through years of transitions – being some of the first students enrolled in the newly developed Primary School and navigating the Covid pandemic through Middle School – we quickly adapted to change. We learned to carry on through many changes, but importantly, we persevered. The lessons learned from the challenges we faced have shaped and prepared us to be the men that we are – Holy Cross Men.

I truly believe and have often said that my Holy Cross education was the best— better than college and better than law school. I received a great education at both college and law school. Still, my Holy Cross education was foundational, certainly in academics, but also in how to think about what’s important in life, and that it’s not just about me, that there’s a big world with many needs and great opportunity. But probably the most poignant thing I learned at Holy Cross is that success in life is not just about money; it’s you doing something that you do well, that makes you happy and feel fulfilled.
