Early Childhood

In our pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade classrooms, students focus on fundamental literacy and math skills and on the discovery of their world. Teachers focus on phonemic and phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, spatial awareness, number sense, and problem solving. Students engage in religion, art, music, and physical education classes throughout the week; through social-emotional learning lessons, they learn friendship skills like kindness and empathy and learning skills like listening and focusing.
