Tuition, Scholarship Awards, and Need-Based Financial Assistance

Each year, Holy Cross School’s Leadership Team, in partnership with the Board of Directors, reviews and implements tuition and fees. We understand and value the sacrifices that families make in providing a Catholic education for their children. With that understanding in mind, supporting our Holy Cross families and providing opportunities to ensure a quality, Catholic Holy Cross education for every student are at the forefront of our decision-making process.

Payment Options

Option 1: Annual Payment Plan

This plan requires one full payment by May 15. This option includes a $250 discount, and there is no processing fee included.

Option 2: Semi-Annual Payment Plan

This plan requires two payments on May 15 and November 15. There is no processing fee included.

Option 3: Monthly Payment Plan

This plan includes 11 installment payments from May to March. This option includes a $550 processing fee (estimating around $50 per month).

*The full payment discount does not apply to families receiving Need-Based Financial Assistance.

Blackbaud Tuition Management

Tuition and fees are paid through Blackbaud Tuition Management (BTM is not a bank loan program). Because Blackbaud Tuition Management is our payment system for additional activities such as bus transportation and aftercare, every family is required to set up automatic payments with either a credit card, debit card, or checking/savings account (ACH), regardless of the payment option selected.

Obligation to Pay in the Event of Withdrawal or Dismissal

A student is admitted to Holy Cross School with the understanding that he will remain for the entire academic year. A student who withdraws or is dismissed after the first day of school forfeits all fees and is charged tuition through the end of the semester in which he departs. A student who withdraws before the first day of school will have any tuition, but not fees, reimbursed.

Student Activity Fee: $650

Includes, but is not limited to, athletic and extracurricular participation fees, retreats, and local class field trips.

Student Life and Support Fee: $400

Includes, but is not limited to, counseling and health services.

Building Fee: $575

Testing Fee: $125

Infrastructure Fee (All Grades): $275

School Furnished Device Fee (5th – 12th Grades Only): $500

Scholarship Awards

Holy Cross School offers academic scholarships for qualifying students. To be considered for a Holy Cross Scholarship, families must apply and provide supporting documents directly to Blackbaud Financial Aid Management, an online application form related to Blackbaud Tuition Management.

National Merit Award

Academic Scholarships (Grades 5–12)

Considerations for obtaining a Holy Cross academic scholarship in grades 5–10:
Any student with a GPA of 3.5 and a 90% composite on a standardized test* or a 90% on 3 out of 5 ACT Aspire or Pre-ACT subtests from the previous school year will be awarded an academic scholarship of $500 in the fall of the current school year.

Considerations for obtaining a Holy Cross academic scholarship in grades 11 & 12:
Any student with a GPA of 3.5 and a 90% composite on the ACT (the in-house test administered to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade) from the previous school year will be awarded an academic scholarship of $500 in the fall of the current school year.

Considerations for maintaining a Holy Cross academic scholarship in grades 5–12:
Any student who has attained a scholarship must continue to achieve a 3.5 GPA and score 90% on 3 out of 5 ACT Aspire subtests or a 90% composite on the in-house ACT. In order to maintain the scholarship for their senior year, 11th graders must maintain a 3.5 GPA.

*New students: standardized test given at previous school

Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA)

Holy Cross School has numerous fully and partially endowed scholarships from which it can provide financial assistance to students in grades 5 - 12 who qualify. From the funds available each year, Holy Cross School can award various levels of financial assistance based on need, academic achievement, extracurricular participation, community service, and other factors.

Work Study

In addition to financial assistance, Holy Cross School offers Work Study Credit, which is required for recipients of Need-Based Financial Assistance. Recipients of Work Study Credits earn an hourly wage, which is deducted from tuition as work is completed. This opportunity is offered exclusively to high school students due to the strenuous nature of some of the work involved and is not suitable for all students. Work Study is awarded through the Financial Assistance application process.
